This set of LabView Virtual Instruments (VI:s) resembles an instrument driver in the sense, that it is used like a driver. It facilitates remote control of both the AVS-47B and TS-530A at no extra cost. We have tried to keep the number of VI:s small, not fulfilling all the requirements that National Instruments have set forth for an "Instrument Driver". These VI:s have been written on an XP Pro (Sp2) computer and they were saved in LabView 7.1 format. You require, in addition to LabView 7.1., also a free COM1: or COM2: port at a PC-standard address and with full handshaking capability. These programs are based on using the VISA property node of the selected serial port. Download

Picolink Option
PICOLINK offers a solution to customers having problems with ground currents or high-frequency interference in their resistance thermometry systems. It is a 5 meter long, low-speed fibre optic link connecting the AVS47-IB Interface to the AVS-47B Resistance Bridge. See the short description (HTML).
LabView Driver
The downloadable driver consists of 45 VI's, including a simple Getting started.vi and and a more complex Application example 1.vi. A printed manual follows all AVS47-IB units. Please read the description about the driver (HTML).
The current version of the driver package is 1.2. It has been saved with LabView 7.1 and it should work with the more recent LV versions.

Download AVSI2 Manual from year 1988. AVSI2 was the first computer interface option for the AVS-46 bridge, preceding the DC900. This RS232 interface did not support temperature controller commands, because it was designed and sold before the TS-530 was launched.
